And it seems like I didn't really think this one through.
Well, um... er...em...
What exactly am I going to do as a Flash developer in 2020? Well, sadly, I might have an announcement to make too.
I'm pretty sure I won't be able to be a free indie developer in 2020, to say the least. With Adobe Flash Player's death, I will only keep making free games if a good working replacement is made for AFP, and even though I had to say it before (sadly), I'm not a fanboy. It's because I still believe that Flash is the best route I could've taken in coding, and it will really disappoint me not to be able to share my stuff (aside from clips on my youtube that I have yet to link to this account because I don't feel like it). It's the route I must take, though.
I want to keep the following part seperate but still in the same post on my front page.
To be honest, I really don't care when I'm called a fanboy, because I'm really just nostalgic. Because Flash is my best memory. Because 2005-2010 are my favorite days for the internet. Because that's just where I want to be right now. If (and not when) a substitute for AFP is made someday, I will very happily use it as much as possible. Also, if I ever make my own website, expect it to look like it's from 2005. Cool time, want to be there asap.
And to celebrate the history I've had with Flash, I had to make a list of Flashes I played long ago that I still remember.
Pac-Man (for being one of my first Flash games ever, a real good port too)
A Super Mario World port (I saw through the non-matching gameplay, but I still loved it and was a fun game. Wish I could find it again)
Sonic Ultimate Flash (Some joke about it's bugs, others recall great times. I was the latter, and just recently beat the game)
Fancy Pants Adventures 1, 2 and 3 (Cool as always Flash game, really neat physics like SUF all over again)
Blockhead (Didn't see much, but it is one of the first non-Youtube Flash animations I watched any of)
Super Mario Flash 1 and 2 (For teaching me what coding language these games are in, and starting my interest in level editors)
Riddle School 1-5 (Don't exactly know when this came into play, but it really showed me a point and click adventure that interested me, all in Flash. The first puzzle games I played without a walkthrough)
Numerous Stickpage games (Really fun sometimes, less really is more)
Super Smash Flash 2 (Almost as/Just as fun as SSBB, so much free time spent on this)
Around here I can't remember much. I became a real game surfer and found TONS of great games, but now...
Snowblitz 2005 (Really good game, but easier than I remembered.
Riddle School 1-7 (Awesome. I played 1-6 again before the 10th anniversary by coincidence, and then saw the 7th. That was cool.)
Any other Jonbro creation (Nice author in general, perhaps my favorite)
And around then, I became a Flash developer. Well, that took way too long to type. The end, I guess.
I just don't feel like typing any more of it.
